The Federation Council accused the United States of imposing the idea of American exceptionalism

The head of the Constitutional Committee of the Federation Council Andrey Klishas in his Telegram channel accused the United States of imposing the idea of American exceptionalism on the world. According to him, this has become the main challenge of the 21st century.

The senator noted that the state is an exceptional institution with certain characteristics, but this term acquires a negative connotation at a time when a country tries to put itself above others.

“Using the idea of its own superiority, the United States consistently impedes the normal development of other states: purposefully slowing down the processes of decolonization, interfering in domestic political affairs, depriving them of the right to gain full economic and cultural independence,” Klishas said.

He noted that through such intervention, the United States maintains its economic well-being and political stability.

According to the senator, a multipolar world is a vital system of world order for all mankind, so the US aspirations pose a great threat not only to countries under the influence of “exclusive” jurisdiction, but also to those who are trying to maintain their independence.

Earlier, the Senator of the Federation Council, ex-Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin said that the new supply of Western weapons to Ukraine will raise the conflict to a higher level, as the build-up of military-political pressure on Russia becomes obvious, which the country is forced to resist.
